How does CQE work?
Enhancing Care Through Data
Care Quality Evaluation (CQE), currently under development by Dr Michela Tinelli at LSE, is a digital platform aimed at supporting an Integrated Care Ecosystem. It uses pre-built tools to collect, monitor, and evaluate data from patient interventions, providing insights at the population level. CQE aims to be user-friendly, reducing the time and cost of developing new services while ensuring a consistent user experience for health and care professionals as well as care users.
The CQE platform will select appropriate standardised measures, collect data, analyse it in real-time, monitor the impact on individuals, and predict outcomes against a full spectrum of metrics. These metrics include clinical effectiveness, safety, cost-effectiveness, person-related outcomes, cultural background, preferences, and patient experience. The platform provides actionable insights to support data-based decisions and improve individual lives.
Who is it for?
The CQE platform and dashboards can be used by a wide variety of stakeholders, including:
- Policy analysts
- Health and care professionals
- Commissioners
- Care services
- Academics
- Pharma
